Lubricants
The task of oil
in a screw compressor is to lubricate, seal
but most of all to remove the heat which is
an inherent part of the compression process,
during this compression process. This oil
is injected in the screw-element. The high
temperatures and the higher concentration
of oxygen combined with all kind of pollutants
inhaled from the environment do give a big
load on the oil.
Mineral oils often have to be changed every
1000 to 2000 hours. To increase the intervals
of the oil changes and also of the oil separator,
KAESER has developed a special synthetic fluid,
which last about 8000 hours and almost doubles
the lifetime of the oil-separator element. |
